What Are Bio Cellulose Masks?

Bel Mondo Masks became the first US brand to develop and market masks made exclusively from an advanced, natural fiber called bio cellulose. Our biodegradable mask fabrics, free of toxins and parabens, are ultra-safe for our clients and kinder to nature.

This is a perfect at-home treatment as well as a great addition to any professional skin care treatment.

Skin care experts and biochemists consider masks woven from bio cellulose – an all-natural fiber – to be the gold standard for hydrating and treating skin. Bio cellulose mask fabrics provide skin-tight dermal adhesion, allowing them to transfer cosmetic ingredients very efficiently. The texture of a bio cellulose mask feels like a cool, moist gel, but its underlying structure is incredibly strong and resilient. Bio cellulose masks do not dry out during application.

Optimal for sensitive or stressed skin, this highly efficient, supple, sterilized mask creates a protective barrier that helps alleviate discomfort. The unique fibers distribute heat-reducing water to the skin barrier to provide immediate relief. Also, good for any skin type looking for a more hydrated look. And it’s perfect when traveling to dry climates.

What is Bio Cellulose?

Bio cellulose (or microbial cellulose) is a natural fiber with a diameter of only 20 nanometers – 1000 times thinner than human hair. This superfine fiber is an eco-friendly, biodegradable alternative to fibers produced through commercial manufacturing processes.

What Makes Bio Cellulose Desirable For Skin Care?

Bio cellulose has several physical properties that set it apart as a premium material for use in skin care:

• Bio cellulose is extremely hydrophilic, or “water loving.” Bio cellulose fabrics have an amazing fluid-holding capacity of up to 100 times their dry weight.

• Bio cellulose has a very high degree of crystallinity, which is another way of saying that the microfibers in bio cellulose fabrics are tightly intertwined (woven), and quite strong and resilient.

• Bio cellulose is sterile, toxin-free, and extraordinarily pure.

• Clinically tested on compromised skin after laser procedures and chemical peels, this masque can also be used as a bi-weekly replenishing treatment.

• Acts as a protective barrier to alleviate discomfort while allowing for breathability.

• Creates continuous cooling and soothing.

• Replenishes and provides immediate relief to skin.

How to Use it

Cleanse skin thoroughly. Open individual package, remove gauze from one side. Place cool gel directly on skin, then remove the other gauze side. Move gel mask around skin to cover all areas including your under eye area. Optimal time is 20 mins. Remove mask, DO NOT RINSE. Instead, massage leftover gel into your skin and follow with moisturizer.

If you have extra gel in the pouch, use that as a serum for the next few days under your moisturizer. It has no preservatives, so once it’s open, the extra serum is only good for a few days.

This mask can be used weekly for skin replenishment, or as recommended by your esthetician or doctor.
