Step Up Your Home Game

I have worked in the treatment room for decades on thousands of clients and the ones who get the best all around results are the ones who do their part at home. Teaming up with your esthetician to achieve your skin care goals is where it’s at. If my clients scrub and mask routinely at home with what I recommend (this is very affordable, and you don’t have to pay anyone to do it for you), we can spend our time in the treatment room doing more advanced treatments such as:  Dermasound Ultrasonic Treatment, microdermabrasion, peels and microneedling.

If you don’t do your part at home, you’ll still get results from professional treatments; however, doing your part at home will give you unbelievable results.

Here is an example of a mini facial you can give yourself at home.

As always, I recommend you have your esthetician select which products are best for you from our extensive mixing lab and product lines. We’ve got you covered here: No need to shop at multiple places for your skin care. We have 4 skin care lines: ONLY YOURx hand-blended custom skin care, SkinCeuticals, GlyMed Plus, and Timoca Health & Beauty.

Step 1 – Scrub.

Possible choices: Timoca Mineral Peeling Mask, SkinCeuticals Micro Scrub, or any of the ONLY YOURx scrubs.

Step 2 – Mask.

Possible choices: Custom-blended clay or cream mask, exfoliating mask with acids, oxygenating masks, or mild peels. We love switching masks around. For example, something different for summer, then winter, and for whatever concerns you have at the time.

Step 3 – Bio-Cellulose Mask.

Adding this to your routine will amaze even the most sophisiticated of skin care clients. This will add 15 minutes to this routine, but it’s well worth it!

Steps 4 and 5 – Apply your serums and moisturizer.

Step 6 – Apply Sunblock.

We love SkinCeuticals and ONLY YOURx.

Like any healthy routine, we need to find the time to fit it in.

Some people are better in the morning, some in the evening. Find what works best for you. My routine is after I shower. As soon as I get out, I apply my mask. By the time I towel dry, apply products to my hair, and apply body lotion, it’s time to rinse the mask. Clients have told me they wash their skin and apply a mask before they shower and then rinse it in the shower. That works too! Find what works, stick with it, and enjoy your glowing skin as a result.

If you have a good routine that works for you, we’d love to hear about it! Leave a comment below, and tell us about your routine when you come in for your next appointment.

Happy Masking, and we look forward to seeing you at the spa soon!
